Front Desk Intern/Trainee: The participant will spend time in various areas of the front office (PBX & Front Office), the participant will be taught the essential elements of a supervisory role, overnight hotel operations, night audit and advanced levels of guest service with hands-on learning opportunities and shadowing the department’s supervisors. - Block rooms in Property Management System - Reduce ‘One Night Holes’ - Balance Inventory - Process Advance Deposits and cancellation refunds - Use PBX operating system - Sit in on weekly operations leadership meetings to ensure adequate understanding of rooms needs - Work with sales teams on blocking groups - Ensure No Shows are billed and reinstated if necessary - Verify Open Folios are closed - Set VIP rooms and amenities - Email blast via email platforms
