The Food & Beverage Intern/Trainee will gain comprehensive, hands-on experience in the daily operations of a full-service beachfront hotel restaurant and bar. This structured training program is designed for participants seeking to develop their hospitality management skills through exposure to restaurant operations, guest service, food production, beverage service, inventory management, and leadership development. Participants will rotate through multiple Food & Beverage outlets while learning industry best practices in a professional hotel environment overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel features on-site dining venues serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and seasonal outdoor food and beverage service. Primary Responsibilities: -Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional, and attentive service. -Take food and beverage orders accurately using the hotel's POS system. -Serve food and beverages while maintaining service standards. -Prepare dining areas before, during, and after service. -Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquet, and special event operations. -Learn beverage preparation, responsible alcohol service, and bar procedures (where legally permitted). -Ensure tables are properly set, cleaned, and reset efficiently. -Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining rooms, bars, service stations, and storage areas. -Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. -Assist with receiving deliveries, stocking supplies, and rotating inventory using FIFO methods. -Monitor product quality and communicate shortages or maintenance issues to supervisors. -Support kitchen and front-of-house teams during busy service periods. -Participate in daily briefings and pre-shift meetings. -Learn scheduling, labor management, and operational planning. -Assist supervisors with training new team members when appropriate. -Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary. -Complete administrative tasks such as inventory counts, production logs, and operational checklists.
