The Food & Beverage Intern/Trainee program at JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa is designed to provide participants with comprehensive, hands-on training in luxury hotel food and beverage operations. Participants will rotate through various dining outlets and service areas while developing the operational, leadership, and guest service skills required for a successful career in hospitality management. Training emphasizes Marriott's commitment to exceptional guest experiences, quality service, teamwork, and operational excellence. Participants gain exposure to both front-of-house and back-of-house food and beverage operations, while learning luxury hospitality standards and best practices. Key Training Areas & Responsibilities: -Provide exceptional guest service by welcoming guests, taking accurate food and beverage orders, making menu recommendations, accommodating dietary restrictions, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience. -Learn and perform Marriott luxury service standards across restaurant, lounge, banquet, and in-room dining operations, including the proper sequence of service for breakfast, lunch, dinner, receptions, and special events. -Prepare dining and event areas by setting tables, arranging banquet rooms, maintaining cleanliness, clearing and resetting tables, and assisting with the setup and breakdown of meetings, weddings, conferences, and other events. -Develop knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu items, ingredients, wines, beers, cocktails, specialty beverages, and responsible alcohol service while assisting with beverage preparation and service where applicable. -Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system accurately for order entry and payment processing while maintaining effective communication with kitchen, bar, and service teams to ensure timely and efficient guest service. -Follow Marriott food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety standards by practicing proper food handling, storage, temperature control, cleaning procedures, and compliance with all local health regulations.
