Turf Valley Resort is seeking dedicated, reliable, and motivated Back of House (BOH) Team Members to support our culinary operations and help deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. The BOH Team Member plays a critical role in food preparation, kitchen organization, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety standards. This position supports restaurant service, banquets, weddings, golf outings, and special events throughout the resort. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Food Preparation & Production: - Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks according to recipes and chef instructions. - Prepare ingredients including washing, cutting, portioning, and storing food items. - Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met. - Support banquet and event food production as needed. - Follow proper food handling and storage procedures. Kitchen Operations: - Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area. - Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment as assigned. - Assist with stocking and rotating inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices. - Organize walk-in coolers, freezers, and storage areas. - Dispose of waste and recycling according to established procedures. Safety & Sanitation - Adhere to all health department regulations and food safety standards. - Follow proper procedures for food storage, temperature control, and sanitation. - Maintain compliance with Turf Valley Resort's safety policies and procedures. - Immediately report equipment issues, safety hazards, or food quality concerns. - Use kitchen equipment safely and responsibly. Teamwork & Communication - Work closely with chefs, cooks, servers, and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations. - Assist team members during high-volume service periods. - Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment. - Communicate effectively regarding inventory needs, preparation timelines, and guest requests.
