Front of House: The participant will work directly with current banquet staff for an introduction to banquet operations, procedures, guest services policies, and technical systems. Orientation: This phase will begin with a company orientation hosted by Human Resources. The Participant will gain experience in a casual upscale restaurant environment. Interns will learn the Host and Server roles within this phase. Banquet Server: Interns will learn how to pre-set events. Setting buffets with proper utensils, glassware, silverware, drinks, snacks, notepads, chairs, tables, decor, etc. Ensuring the flow of the buffet makes sense, setting up drink stations. Interns will learn how to nm break service as well. Time management will be key in this phase. Banquet Captain: The participant will work directly with the Banquet Event Manager to learn how to lead banquets. Most training will be hands on, 1:1 training. They will first observe, then be taught, then will perform supervised tasks to ensure mastery.
