Description: - Provides individualized supervision and instruction to assigned students and additional support to the core classroom staff. Help student(s) to implement their Individualized Education Programs (IEP) utilizing group and individual instruction in the classroom and community. - The duties include but are not limited to training students in the following domains: community, vocational, leisure, domestic, academic, and social skills. - These duties and responsibilities exist to ensure student success at the highest level, as well as, establish a safe and productive environment for all employees. They will get experience with multiple students, an age range, gaining IEP goals. Will be able to run sessions with students, implement goals, tracking behavioral momentum.
Plan de entrenamiento
Phase 1: Orientation (14 days) Standard onboarding, new employee orientation, professional development pertaining to training with students with special needs. Phase 2: Assist lead teacher and other program staff with implementing assigned students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behavior intervention plans with instruction. Phase 3: Learning skills to co-each with the supervisory teacher. Learn how to lead the class, write lesson plans, implement their own teaching methods.
Requisitos
Preferred: One-year experience working with individuals with disabilities or working with students in an educational setting.
